Event COLD SMOKE DRAGS (Burns Lake Snowmobile Tracks, from Feb 19, 2011 10:00 AM to Feb 20, 2011 03:00 PM)
The Cold Smoke Drags are presented by the Burns Lake Snowmobile Club. The races will be featuring: Octane Addictions Freestyle Aerial Stunt Show. Come on out and enjoy some spectacular drag racing and the awesome aerial freestyle shows. There will be a $1,500.00 prize for the "King Class" WINNER TAKES ALL, also there wil be a 50/50 draw, door prizes, and Octane Addiction helmet give-aways.

The Southside 2011 Winter Games are happening on February 19. Please register for this exciting event no later then February 15, 2011. Registration forms can be download from this page and be dropped off at Takysie Lake Resort, Grassy Plains Country Store, Keefes Landing Cafe and Northside General Store.

Event ENERGY NORTH PRESENTS: BURNS LAKE BIOMASS WORKSHOP (Burns Lake, from Feb 01, 2011 09:00 AM to Feb 02, 2011 04:00 PM)
The biomass workshop will give you the basic knowledge about about biomass and the advantages of forest management. It will outline different sustainable energy solutions and the sources of funding available. One of the goals of this workshop is to assist First Nations and small scale forestry operators in managing forested land.

She is a Canadian fiddler and step-dancer with five albums to her credit. She plays traditional and original repertoire, deeply rooted in Ottawa Valley of her home. Show doors open at 6:45 P.M. on Monday January 24 at the First Mennonite Church.

The Burns Lake Timber Supply Advisory Group (BLTSAG) is holding an informational forum to discuss the future timber supply in this area and how it will affect the economic stability of our community. Everyone is encouraged to participate by voicing your thoughts and ideas to this forum. The goals of the forum are for participants to be informed and feel empowered to influence change for the community of Burns Lake and area.
